CHENGDOO citylife Magazine is a homegrown, independent magazine created by a small group of foreigners and locals working together to provide an English-language platform for the Chengdu community. The magazine is produced entirely in Chengdu by natives and long-term residents of the city. We provide a space to support the arts and music scene as well as community and corporate events. Additionally, in conjunction with www.chengdoo.com, we are simply a means of old-fashioned networking through profiles of Chengdu's people to know and places to go as well as our constantly updated events and classifieds listings (free for individuals). The Music
The headliner of the event is 27-year-old British Gareth Emery (aka GTR), who ranked No. 34 on last year’s DJ Mag Top 100 Poll. GTR’s deep and progressive trance sets consistently land his podcasts on the iTunes Top-20. The second headliner is French DJ Erwan who’s currently based in Hong Kong and plays Detroit techno and minimal sets around China, East Asia, France, and Spain. Support comes from the local DJs Harry (deep progressive), Kico (funky and deep house) and opener Xiang Dong (ambient and lounge). Solo Man is in charge of a massive light system, and local VJ Bobo drops flashy animations on two big screens near the dance floor.

The Location
The area north of Donghu Gongyuan is just 10 minutes from the Blue Caribbean Plaza, from which a shuttle bus will depart every 20 minutes. It’s one of the many areas in Chengdu that in only five years has transformed from farmland to residential high-rise complexes. The party area stretches over several hundred square meters of green and includes a plaza, functioning as DJ booth and dance floor, and a riverside teahouse/café which will serve as cocktail bar offering 10-kuai drinks.
As the surrounding residential areas are still under construction the late-night reveling shouldn’t disturb any neighbors. At 2 a.m., the crowd will head to the MIX Club at Hollywood Plaza on Erhuan Lu for the after party.

Entrance
Tickets include admission to the outdoor and after party, transportation on the shuttle bus, and one drink. Presale tickets are RMB80 and RMB100 at the door. In case of heavy rain, the party will be moved to an alternative location nearby. Attendees are advised to dress casually and avoid wearing high heels due to the uneven footing.

Advance tickets can be purchased at MIX club, Parrot restaurant, Kaka Pub, Le Café Panam(e), and at the CHENGDOO citylife office (Yatai Guangchang Ste. 1715, 58 Kehua Bei Lu, Tel. 13018236092).
