JUST ANNOUNCED: The Sustainable Tibetan Communities project of Winrock International (http://www.winrock-stc.org/en/) will be at the market selling Tibetan handicrafts. Colorful, handmade goods, with proceeds going to a good cause.

A DIY-themed secondhand market and homemade-crafts bazaar is coming to town next month. In addition to the collection of used-but-still-usable stuff available for your perusal, the market will offer handmade clothes, crocheted goods, jewelry, baked goods, etc. On stage will be a lineup of unplugged musicians, and Jah will serve their normal menu and wintertime drinks for this early December afternoon and evening event.

The organizers are soliciting donations of things you no longer use from now until November 25. Items can be placed in the boxes at Bookworm, CHENGDOO oficina, Cafe Paname, Dave's Oasis, Hemp House, High Connections Coffee, Little House, or Dragontown Hostel. Pick-up can also be arranged by calling Jane at 13540708232 or e-mailing voodikon@yahoo.com.

Items we will accept include: clothes, shoes, books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, luggage, camping equipment, board games, household items (lamp, appliances, dishes, knickknacks), electronic equipment, etc.

Proceeds from sales of donated goods will go toward supporting future cultural events by the organizers, such as a film festival next spring. Any goods left unsold will be donated.
